Glyn Broome
Fred Glyn Broome, age 83 of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Clarksville Nursing & Rehab.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Laida officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 12 Noon until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
Glyn entered this life on March 31, 1929 in Montgomery County to John Thomas and Oma Rye Broome. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and APSU. Following service to his country in the U.S. Army, Glyn began a career in Data Processing for Acme Boot Company, that spanned some 40 years. He was a member of the Clarksville Civitan Club, former member and President of the Hilldale Kiwanis Club, and belonged to the church family of First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Ruth Young Broome of Clarksville; his children, Lynn Broome and wife Mary of Yorktown, VA, Glynda Krantz of Royal Oaks, MI, and Dina Wilkins and husband Dick of Clarksville. He was grandfather to Alan Krantz, Whitney Krantz, Danielle Wilkins, Dianna Wilkins, David Wilkins, Caitlin Broome and Eric Broome.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Billy Harold Broome and Maurice Broome.
Pallbearers will be Alan Krantz, Eric Broome, David Wilkins, Dick Wilkins, Steve Miller and Shan Smith.
The Broome family would like to send a special expression of gratitude to the staff of Clarksville Nursing & Rehab for the loving and superior care provided to Glyn during his stay there.

Dear Mrs Broome,so sorry to hear of your husband passing. I went to the nursing home today to see a friend & went to his room to see how he was doing, i aked someone there & they told me he had passed. May the Lord be with you & his family. Take care. Mrs Brenda Medina from the nursing home.
