When I was a little girl there was a very sweet couple in our church who would do anything for anyone that needed their help. It was not uncommon for Mr. Davis to bring home strangers for supper because he knew they were hungry or give away his coat, sometimes brand new, because he knew the person receiving it had no coat and was cold. His only reply to Mrs Davis when she scolded him was that Jesus would be sure he got another coat. Today, we can know that when he entered the gates of Heaven, Jesus said, "Welcome home My good and faithful servant. As you have served others, you have served Me." Mr. Davis will be missed by many.
I had the honor of driving Mr. Davis and his wife in a parade at East Montgomery Elementary School. They were the grand marshalls . I really enjoyed spending time with them. What a fine gentleman and a sweet lady. I think I was more honored than they were. My thoughts and prayers to the Davis family
