Sorry to hear about Chuck. He was a friend and great teammate during a special period of our lives. I know Margie and Steve will miss him and hope this message will comfort them and other members of their family in some way.

I met Chuck at the apartment complex his Dad managed in Clarksville. He was always around helping people with whatever they needed. I don't think he ever met a person he didn't help in some way. With me it was moving into my first house. He even built a doghouse for our pet. People like Chuck don't come around often. I cherish his memory. May his family find peace in knowing he made the world a better place with his acts of kindness.

Chuck and I served together in a couple of places and on numerous deployments. Hanging out with him and BBq'ing throughout all seasons in upstate NY with his family was always fun. If Chuck didn't know something, and he felt that it was important enough, he found a way to learn it. He was a great man and I am sorry that life got in the way and I haven't communicated enough with him in the past 8-9 years. He will be missed.

Chuck befriended me when I was a kid about 1974 in Clarksville. I remember thinking how cool this guy was. He let me hang out with him and made me feel cool too. Thirty some-odd years later and I still remember him this way, I was so sad to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family.
