Janie McWhorter
Janie Carroll McWhorter, age 66 of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Noon Monday, January 21, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Janie was born November 13, 1946 in Clarksville to Josie and Laverne Emmitt Carter. Janie had a professional career in the real estate business with Conroy Marable & Holleman, among other adventurous roles. She was an avid fishperson and belonged to the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her former husband of 28 years, Edward "Bud" McWhorter of Clarksville; children, Randy C. Lambert of N.C. and Sheila Marie McWhorter; brother, Jackie Wayne Carter and wife Betty of Clarksville, and several grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2008 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
