I forgot to sign Will's name to his note to you, Louise. I'm so sorry for your loss. Joanne Hackman, Memphis

Dear Louise,

I was deeply saddened to learn of Mell's passing. Mell and I go way back to the early 60"s, when I first came to know him on campus and in the monthly meetings of the Grand Philomathic Society of Greater Metropolitan Clarkville. I was the fortunate recipient of his wisdom and gracious manner in our many conversations over the years; He was an indispensable member of the APSU community and a friend to us all. Joanne joins me in expressing condolences best wishes.

Dear Mayfield Family,

Mr. Mayfield was my favorite professor at APSU in the early 80's. I loved his physics classes. He was an honorable gentleman and great educator. May God Bless your family with comfort.
