Met you Nickie when we were kids! You and your brother were so much fun, we sang Little Red Riding Hood together and had a great time! Your Uncle Lou was my dad so you are in heaven with the family I so miss! I Love You! Sorry you are gone and I will see you when it is my time to be with you all!

This is Cindy, Nickie's daughter. I wanted to thank everyone who was able to come out and support the family at the funeral, and a Big Thanks to everyone who shared a portion of Nickie's life with him. Even if you had a piano that he tuned, if you were someone that he went to church with, a neighbor, or a co-worker. Nickie didn't talk much about his past, but occasionally a "Bargain Store" memory or a "Leaf-Chronicle paper route" story would pop up. He loved music and all that was involved with it. Playing with the bands that he was in, recording music, working on instruments, playing in churches. In his lifetime he played many genres of music but they all made up who he was. Nickie passed away from Alzheimers, but was still able to play the piano until the last couple months of his life. He would "talk" to us about how the piano needed tuned and how the keys needed leveling. My brother, Bobby, and his wife Marcia and her son Zach, cared for Nickie during the last 15 months of his life, so he was able to be in the comfort of home surrounded by his belongings, and he passed away at home.

I knew Nickie and his dad, Charlie, from First church and thought the world of them. He was a super talented man and a super nice one too. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Our thoughts and prayers to all the family. Nickie was not only a dear man but he was family to me and Tammy. We will miss him. Our condolences to you all.
