BARTOW - Mrs. Carrie Mae Young, age 96, died July 30, 2018, at home.
Born in Fort Meade, FL, on Oct. 3, 1921, she came to Bartow from there 78 years ago. She was a cook and a member of St. James AME Church.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by husband Harold F. Young Sr., and son Harold F. Young II. She is survived by Ronald V. Young Sr., Juanita Young Sanders, both of Bartow, Rufus G. H. Young (Sherry), Fayetteville, N.C., Carver R. Young (Vivian), Gwendolyn D. Young, both of Bartow, 47 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Williams Funeral Chapel, Bartow. Services will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. James AME Church, Bartow.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1Thessalonians 4:14 can bring much comfort. Just knowing that theres a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
