I believe I only met your father once when I was in high school, but I still remember him fondly. My grandfather was Thomas Merrick and I remember being struck by how much they resembled one another. I am sorry to hear of his passing and pray for peace and comfort for your family. I live in El Paso where he was born and I attend St. Mary's Catholic church (where I'm guessing he may have been baptized). God bless your family during this difficult time.

I knew Mr. Merrick as the dedicated volunteer to St. Joseph Catholic School. He was always helping with the lunch program. The children respected and appreciated him. I say he is the finest example of a Christian gentleman. God bless his family.
