Chief George - you helped me with my Rifle Team at Winter Haven HS and we became friendly arch rivals. Your ANJROC Rifle team was always hard to beat. More importantly, you became a good friend. We could rely on each other to help our respective JROTC programs out and to talk about most anything. I'll never forget you agreeing to Coach my shooter who won the state individual match in 2000 and to go with him to Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. What a surprise for both of us to find out he had died his hair green the night before you picked him up at 4 am. Although we rarely caught anything, I also enjoyed fishing with you and discussing Boy Scouting and, of course, all things involving shooting sports. It was a pleasure to help you with our many successful shooting summer camps. You will be sorely missed and were taken too soon but you will be reunited with your loving family and friends some day. Rest assured we will offer Sari any help that we can be. So long for now -
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
