"Uncle Hank" will be greatly missed. It has been an honor to get to know you and to be able to spend time with you and your family. There is no question about the love you had for your family. Your sincerity and patience was truly special. Blaze will always remember the times he was able to be with you as you went to get crickets so we could all fish off the dock. Without your help, I'm sure I never would've even given fishing a try. We will always think of you whenever we are out fishing. With much love and respect... Chuck Matsoff

Hank, you were one of the finest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of working with and knowing. You were a very close friend and I will miss you dearly. Many people know you for the upstanding professional engineer you were because your integrity was beyond reproach; however, I choose to remember Hank, my friend and confidante, who had a wonderful sense of humor and always teased me for being an ES. But that didn't stop you from becoming an honorary ES (Environmental Scientist) the day we jumped a fence and waded through knee deep water to look at a fill violation. Everyone who knew you is a better person for it. I just happen to be one of the luckiest people because I knew you so well and we shared so much together. Goodbye Hank, hopefully we will meet up again one day.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Hank was a true professional. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet and work with him for many years at SWFWMD. My sincere condolences for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Higginbotham family during this time. I attended school with Hank from elementary through high school. Ran into Hank recently while walking down his street. Hank had a great smile and a brilliant mind.
