I am so sorry to hear of the passing of such a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I had the good fortune to work for Dr. Barrett at Watson Clinic for 2 years back in the late 90s. He also delivered my first child and cared for me during my second pregnancy. He shared his sense of humor, gentle nature, compassion, understanding, and love of medicine and life with me and everyone whose life he touched. He seldom if ever raised his voice, his patience was immeasurable with staff and patients alike. He was always the calm inside the storm, able to express just what a patient needed to hear at the exact time they needed to hear it most. He was loved by all who knew him and is one of the biggest influences on my choice to enter the nursing field. I told him more than once that if there were doctors out there that were as good to work with as he was then it would be a career worth pursuing.
Thank you Dr. Barrett, I hope you know how much you were loved and how much you will be missed!
