No marriage is absolutely perfect, but ours was certainly close!

I am the luckiest woman in the world. Not a day went by when Larry didnt tell me how beautiful I was, how much he loved me & how lucky he was.

We couldnt have been more different, but then opposites do attract.

Larry was a pessimist, (he liked to say realist).

He was a bit paranoid, & I am too trusting.

He liked the windows and shades closed, & I like to open all the shades and have natural light in our beautiful new home.

He was ABSTRACT CONCRETE & I am ABSTRACT RANDOM.

He was forever brutally honest, and I am a sugar coater.

When I met him, he was just out of the service & was mean as a snake to everyone but me, and I was way too sweet. I could go on and on

BUT.the reason our marriage was so perfect was because of Gods purpose (from the Purpose Driven Life)

He was the COACH.and I was his cheerleader. Particularly in the last 6 months, my role as his cheerleader became more and more difficult. He needed me to cheer him on and not to give up. He wanted to live for our 40th anniversary in July, to take me on an Alaskan cruise for our 40th anniversary, and to walk Jen down the aisle, and to visit with his son and grandsons.

It was not meant to be. God mercifully called him home, and I thank God his suffering is over. I thank God for the 43 years we spent together, and I have the blessed assurance that we WILL see each other again in Heaven!

I had the pleasure of working with Larry my first year of teaching. We worked in the Polk Half Way House together. I am completing my 24th year of teaching and to this day I remember that Larry taught me to not only be passionate for teaching but to love my students unconditionally. God's Speed Larry-

Larry we will miss you. You were one of a kind. We know also that you will never have to suffer again. You are with the Lord.
I will continue to pray for your family whom you loved dearly and they loved you.
God speed my friend.
