Mama (Wanda her youngest sister) and I will miss Aunt Mary so much. Aunt Mary was a joy to be around, wise with advice (but never given unless asked), and she was always kind and thoughtful. Growing up, I remember family gathering at her house. We played board games and she was good at that and hard to beat. They had a large yard that Uncle Jim would plant with Grandpas help. Then we picked the crop and everyone gathered around the table to talk and shell peas. Some of my favorite meals were cooked by Aunt Mary like Macoroni and cheese. We also sometimes listened to her play the piano. She was good at that too, learning at a young age many gospel songs or the boogie woogie. Mary and granny made some beautiful creations with their needle point and outfits on her sewing machine. As she got older after Uncle Jim passed, Mama and I loved getting together with her and visiting, talking and laughing about everything. We loved sitting with Aunt Mary every Sunday just two pews from the front. . This was the same place her
daddy and mother had them sit at First Baptist Church in Bradley Jct when they were growing up. All three girls met their future husbands right there in that little church. We will miss those hugs, kisses, and giggles. We love you so much. And we will see you again one day Aunt Mary, love you Wanda and Connie.

Mary Veta was a wonderful classmate. She married one of my best friends, Jim Smith. Apparently, they had a wonderful marriage and were happy to have such wonderful children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Mary Veta, may you rest in peace. All who knew you loved you.
