To Richard's Loved Ones...

I am so sorry that I wasn't able to attend Richard's memorial service because I thought the world of him and really wanted to be there. I have known Richard for over thirty years, and I enjoyed every minute of that friendship. Richard hired me for my first "real" job out of graduate school, and not only did I appreciate that, but what a great, funny guy he was. And he introduced me to one of my nearest and dearest, Shirley, for which I will always be grateful.

Every time I think of Richard, I think of how he had a heart the size of Texas, being loyal to a fault. He was always so happy to see his friends, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He had a heart for others and was the best of the best, an officer and a gentleman. How I will miss him as will my husband Fred who joins me in sending our deepest sympathy. Richard will be missed more than I can ever begin to say here. What a prince of a guy he was!

We love you, my friend!

Rich and I served together in the Marines. About two years ago we found each other on the internet. It was good to remember old times. My deepest Sympathy to his Family

To Richard's family,

Richard and I graduated together from LHS '62 and were only classmates. But, at each of our class reunions, Richard was one of the people that seemed to have time for every classmate. Remember one after party with Dorothy, Lucy and several others tht we closed some of Lakeland's "hot" spots. May the family remember this man who touched many others.
