I'm so sorry Mr. Stunkard. Sheila was such a nice, genuinely nice, lady and such a fighter. She would always brighten my day with her corny humor when I would come for a visit. Loved her.

Sheila was a very special courageous woman. When she was diagnosed with ALS her life theme became, "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our...troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory." 2 Cor. 4:16,17. Daily she took her concerns before the Lord. I watched the Lord give Sheila wisdom which she shared with others as she encouraged them. She also prayed for our needs as well, Sheila never gave up for the Lord gave her strength each day. Sheila's favorite cartoon figure - Snoopy - who gave her smiles even in the midst of her struggles along with flowers and reading. She did not grieve her diagnosis for instead she rejoiced believing, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have served the Lord faithfully." 2 Timothy 4:6,7. Even though she is not here, she now has finished the race and has reached eternal glory.
