Dorothy A. Dinius, age 90, of Weidman passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.
Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Dana Hendershot officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Services. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the church.
Dorothy was born on December 5, 1922, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of John H. and Mary B. (Lynch) Wilson. She graduated in the Class of 1940 from Mt. Pleasant High. Dorothy married Floyd Dinius on October 5, 1970. She retired in 1988 after 28 years of employment as a food service supervisor for Central Michigan University. She had previously worked in the lab for the Borden Company. Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking. She was a member of the Moose Club.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Linda (Richard) Wight, John (Laurie) Tyler, both of Coldwater Lake, Stanley (Connie) Dinius of Big Rapids, Dan (Kris) Dinius of AZ, Randy (Micki) Dinius of St. Louis, and Marsha Hauk of Bay City; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Dinius in 1975 and 9 siblings.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Dorothy. My mom (Katie Cairns) worked with her in food service at CMU also and also knew her from the Moose. Rest in Peace Dorothy. Thanks for being a great lady!
