Dolores Pierce Curry, 78, of Pensacola FL, passed away Friday, November 15th from a brief illness.She was born June 17, 1935, in Pensacola, FL. to Mother, Verus Robinson Pierce, and Father, Abraham L. Pierce, Sr. She was the wife of the late Hillary J. Curry Jr., of New Orleans, LA.Dolores was a resident of New Orleans LA. for twenty years. She was the retired owner of Blandin Funeral Home, New Orleans, LA; the past Treasurer of the State of Lousiana Funeral Association. She was also the Finanial Treasurer Crescent City Ladies Auxiliary of Funeral Directors.Dolores was Commissioner on the Pensacola Area Housing Authority and past owner of Abe's 506 Club, Pensacola, FL.She was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Pensacola FL and former member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, New Orleans, LA.Dolores is survived by: Cousins, Imelda (Larence) Barrow, Annette (David) Satterwhite, Tonya (Eric) Rose and their families; long-time partner, Fitzgerald Johnson; Cousins Shirley Garcia and Lolita Smith of New Orleans, LA; Uncle Bob (Eunice) Pierce; Aunts, Arlean Gray, Mattie M. Gray and Carlee Donald; Nephew, Eric Shorter; Nieces, Bridgett Brooks and Gladys Floyds; life long-friend Anita Variste of New Orleans, LA along with many other cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Viewing will be held at Joe Morris Funeral Home from 12 pm - 9 pm Thursday, November 21, 2013, with family visitation at 6 pm The Rosary will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Friday, November 22, 2013 at 9:30 am, followed by Mass at 10 am.
