Charles Conley Obituary
He was born Feb. 22, 1947, in Ashland, the son of the late Dr. Charles Raymond and Kathryn Elizabeth Conley.
Dr. Conley graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in 1977. He began his career with his father in Greenup until moving to Brandenburg. He served as an osteopathic family physician in Brandenburg from 1979 until his medical retirement in January 2015.
Dr. Conley enjoyed reading, watching the Kentucky Wildcats, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Kay Simmons Conley; his parents, Dr. Charles Raymond Conley and Kathryn "Kitty" Elizabeth Sergent Conley; and a niece, Amy Elizabeth Young.
Survived by his wife of five years, Laura Nell Conley of Brandenburg; his children, Dr. Charles "Chip" Leo (Melissa) Conley of Ashland, Stephanie Rae (Chad) Woosley of Brandenburg and Ryan Patrick (Kellie) Conley of Irvington; his sister, Cathy (Burton) Young of Murray; his grandchildren, Noell, Shelby, Andrea, Walker and Kade Conley all of Ashland, Rylie and Harper Conley of Irvington and Izzy and Zachary Woosley of Brandenburg; a niece, Charlsie (Jesse) Williams and a great-niece, Raylen Williams.
His children will be hosting a celebration of his life service from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Ekron Baptist Church, Blanc Christian Life Center.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
Alexander Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Charlie was one of my best friends in high school. We lost track after graduation and I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing while "googling" his name in hopes of renewing that past friendship.
My thoughts and prayers go to his friends and family during this time.

How we wish we could be there Saturday, but we will be in Tennessee for a job related trip. I have been in touch with a part of your family to let you know how much we loved Dr. Conley. He was the best. Prayers for comfort and peace in the coming days.
