Clarence Tesch Obituary

Tesch, Clarence "Pansy"

Clarence "Pansy" Tesch, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at his home on April 9, 2015. He was born on June 27, 1932 in Oshkosh a son of Albert and Elsie Harder Tesch.

He married the love of his life, Sally A. Oleson, on December 17, 1954 in Dubuque, Iowa. Sally preceded him in death on March 27, 2009. In his early years, Pansy worked for Brickham Stamping. In May, 1958 he joined the Oshkosh Fire Department. He held many ranks including Equipment Operator, Lieutenant and Captain. Pansy retired in 1989 after 31 years of service to the department. On his off days, Pansy and friends operated KTP Painting when they were not fishing. Pansy was an avid sports enthusiast playing basketball in the Oshkosh Semi-Pro Basketball League for Wertsch Motors, softball for Mueller Shell, Red's Pizza and The Oshkosh Ambassadors. He was inducted in the Oshkosh Softball Hall of Fame in 1992. He was an active member of Oshkosh Elks Lodge #292 and an honorary member of Hanks Club, Lakers Club and Otter Street Fishing Club.

He is survived by his four children, Terry, Timm (Jennifer), Lonni (Tom) Spanbauer, and Lori (Jeffrey) Schettle. He was known as "Bub" to his seven grandchildren, Maggie Fenn, Jared (Kristin) Spanbauer, Ross (Melissa) Kussmann, Brennan (Kalynn) Kussmann and Libbey, Jamie and Jenna. In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Irv, Edna (Dave) Schneider, Terry (Kathie) Miller and sisters in law Pat Lautenschlager, Jeanne Oleson, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sally, siblings Herb Tesch, Catherine Tesch Lemke and Richard Miller, brothers in law Howard Oleson, Tom Copp, Milton "Fritz" Lautenschlager, Robert Kirchhoff, sisters in law Beverly Kirchhoff, Kay Copp, Althea Tesch and Lu Lu Tesch.

Services will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside at 7 pm. Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will in Lake View Memorial Park.

To honor Pansy's wish to remain at his home it required special care from neighbors and friends. The children would like to extend a special thank you to Brian Frank, the Boettcher family, the Wolf family (The Roxy), Steve Lawler (Red's Pizza), Mark and Deb (Ratch n Deb's) and Kathy "Mooner" Poeschl!
