Szweda, Edward R.

Edward R. (Eddie) Szweda, age 86, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at the Fountain View Care Center in Ripon. He was born in Princeton on December 29, 1928, a son of Max and Celia (Bartol) Szweda. He proudly served his country for two years in the United States Army in Korea. Eddie worked on the family farm, Michels Pipe Line Construction for 2 years and for H. Treder and Sons Roofing for 7 years. He enjoyed going to movies, visiting with people and activities at the VFW Post 10452 of Princeton, where he was a member.

Eddie is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jerry (JoAnn) Szweda of Princeton, Dianne Krause of Oshkosh (formerly of Berlin), Shirley (Pete Nicholas) Washkovick of Green Lake, Melody Pribnow of Berlin, Judy (Carl) Chappa of Berlin, Robert Schultz of Green Lake, Gary Schultz of Iowa, David Schultz of Ripon; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Celia Szweda; 6 brothers, Leo Szweda, Casey Szweda, Tony Szweda, Bernie Szweda, Tom Szweda and Vic Swader; 3 sisters, Agnes Nigbor, Angeline Schultz and Martha Swader; sister-in-law, Erna Swader; brothers-in-law, Fabian Nigbor, Clarence Schultz; nephew, Eugene Nigbor.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Edward R. (Eddie) Szweda will take place on Thursday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will be conducting the service. There will be no viewing, as Edward has been cremated. Full military honors will conclude the service, with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Princeton at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sunnyview Nursing Home, Fountain View Care Center, Ripon Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center, especially nurse practitioner, Cathy Shine and staff, Father Dennis Ryan from St. Bernard's Parish, Generation's Home Care and Hospice, Todd of Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home for all his kind words and help. Also thank you to Mike Plemmons for all his visits with his 3 dogs at the nursing home. Edward loved all of the dogs, especially Bill. A very special thank you to his niece, Dianne Krause, who was very close and dear to Eddie.

I will Miss coming to visit you anymore Uncle Eddie. Also your joking around with me, talking about you & your Brothers Serving Our Country which I know you were Very Proud of them & yourself, but you didn't say anything just showed me Pictures & Articles of them and tucked them away so as not to get lost & to go back & look at them, but especially I will remember your Smile Uncle Eddie!!!! Now you are at Home with Our Beautiful God & the Rest of your Family. I Will Miss You Uncle Eddie Very much, but your at Peace with no more pain. Love Always your Neice Dianne Krause
