Happy Birthday Steve, You are missed more then words can say. Sending you hugs..
My dear brave brother.....thanks for teaching me that I should live life to it's fullest because despite everything you were going through you did just that and lived life to it's fullest to the best of your ability. You were a true inspiration and I miss you terribly!!! I will never forget your smile or your thumbs up sign. You will be forever in my heart until we meet again!!!! Love you!!!!
We never mt but I graduated from high school with Steve in 1972 in Newberry. We used to hang out at his house with Rob "Moose" Madsen and go to football games. Many fond memories. My prayers are with you.
Steven Hedberg Family:
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family for your loss. Although you may not know me, I was a neighbor of the Hedberg's and have a lot of fond memories growing up together. We had could not wait for the spring fishing and camping trips to Peanut Lake north of Newberry, the times we just stomped around in the Teaspoon Creek just down the road or the car rides on those back roads riding in the back seat of Steve and Gary's dads car. Those great times will never be forgotten and neither will Steve. Please know that our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time.
Dear Steve's Family:
My heart aches for you. I am so so very sorry to hear of your loss. We grew up together in Newberry. Our families camped side by side for many many years at Round Lake. Sounds like he was walking in his Dad's footsteps loving hunting and fishing. I am sad to hear he had ALS, but know he is now free of that pain and suffering. My prayers are with his entire family at this lonely time.

My heart is heavy as I pray for you all at this sad time. I feel fortunate that we were able to meet in Marquette a few years ago. May you feel God's presence and strength as you step into the future. May your memories bring you comfort.
My most wonderful 'brother" Steve, You were the wind beneath Betsy's wings. You were such a blessing to Betsy, Sarah and Emily. You will be missed more than words can say. Love, Love, Love you, Your "sister" Carrie
Betsy, I am so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. He was a special cousin to me. I have some great memories of him trying to make an outdoor person out of the "city girl" and we harassed each other more than a few times over the Ohio State vs Michigan games. I hope you find comfort in knowing he is free to hunt and fish with his loved ones in heaven. I know he will be missed.
Dear Betsy and Family,
I was Steve's dentist for many years and always enjoyed his visits and our extended conversations. He was a stalwart outdoorsman and a proud family man.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of loss.
Your friend as well as Steve's,
