Dr. Laine was an inspiration to all who met him. I first met him as a student when I attended UW-Oshkosh, and last saw him quietly vaccuming a room at Father Carr's Place 2 B. A humble and gifted man. May God be with his family in this time of sadness.

Dr. Laine was my advisor for my speech teaching major in 1962-66. He was not only a great advisor but a funny, kind and gentle man. He was incredibly tolerant of the debaters who made the speech house our second home.
