Holidays and anniversaries, of his family members were also a priority, and he always attended the dinners or picnics to celebrate these occasions. His greatest passion was gardening, and was very generous with the harvest, giving vegatables to family, neighbors, food pantries, and people in need. He also enjoyed woodworking and wood related crafts. He was very proud of his Irish heritage and often recited poems, and songs to his grandchildren. We are very sorry for your loss. A long life of 92 years is indeed a blessing. Reflecting back on a man, whose life was so rich and touched so many, cannot help but turn today's sorrow into tomorrow's smile. May God touch you in your time of grief.

My sympathies and prayers to the family.
I only know John thru his kids and grandkids.
Since they are a reflection of him, John must have been a fine man of love, humor, sportmanship, and a good Christian/Catholic.
And his birthdate was March 8th so that makes him automatically cool.
May he rest in peace.
