1972, Ron very much liked a landscape I had painted, he offered to BUY it! I was 17 and I found the courage to decline. Now, that painting hangs in our bedroom and I think of professor Weaver every time I contemplate it. He was a fantastic teacher. A huge loss for past and future students.

What an amazing addition to the world Ron was. I'm proud to have known him, proud to have studied under him. I am so glad he left such a large body of art for all of us!!!

Ron was an amazing artist but as a teacher he was even more amazing. He taught me how to see and how to translate what I saw to paper. As an artist I will always be thankful for that.

Ron taught art form after the masters. He was inspirational and supportive of my Bachelor of Fine Art in Drawing with a double major in Painting from UWO throughout his life. His dedication to art is phenomenal. His spirituality was always be remembered.

Back in 1967/68' Ron Weaver was my painting Prof at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Wright State was in its infancy, but growing fast. Barry Gelt was the head of the Fine Arts Department, along with Ray Must. Barry was an incredible teacher as was Ray Must. Ron joined them in 1967 along with his wife, Maurine, who audited classes along with the rest of us. I loved them both as mentors and as friends for the brief time they were here, and am so saddened to hear of Ron's passing away. When they left Ohio for greener pastures in NJ, they were only weeks away from the arrival of their daughter, Jennifer. Even though nearly 46 years have passed since I saw them last, I feel privileged to have had Ron as my teacher and Maurine as a friend and fellow classmate.
