I was sorry to hear that Ron had died the year before we visited New Harbor. I took his painting class at Clam Lake with David Ludtke and later visited Ron,Maurine and Jennifer in Oshkosh. Both and he and Maurine were supportive in giving me advice in exhibiting my own work. He was an excellent artist and teacher. His legacy lives on in his work and in his students. Janet Varga Berry

1972, Ron very much liked a landscape I had painted, he offered to BUY it! I was 17 and I found the courage to decline. Now, that painting hangs in our bedroom and I think of professor Weaver every time I contemplate it. He was a fantastic teacher. A huge loss for past and future students.

What an amazing addition to the world Ron was. I'm proud to have known him, proud to have studied under him. I am so glad he left such a large body of art for all of us!!!

Ron was an amazing artist but as a teacher he was even more amazing. He taught me how to see and how to translate what I saw to paper. As an artist I will always be thankful for that.

Ron taught art form after the masters. He was inspirational and supportive of my Bachelor of Fine Art in Drawing with a double major in Painting from UWO throughout his life. His dedication to art is phenomenal. His spirituality was always be remembered.
