Russ, I'll bet you are wearing Hawkeye garb in heaven! I am proud to say you were my friend. From the days of calling on my family appliance stores while I was a teenager to working with you at Magic Chef/Jenn Air and Maytag, you were always there as a mentor and a friend. Even in the past couple of years as we both began new opportunities, it was great to have you as my true friend. Most important I appreciate the conversations we've had over the past 30 years. They will be missed.
I am most proud of you for what I saw this Friday in Grinnell! You were beaming from above, as you saw your great family say "Good Bye to their "Papa Bear" for now". Natalie, Nicole/Dustin, Lindsay/Adam, Troy, Kourtney, Hayden, Caleb, and Eli will carry on the love, caring, loyalty, drive, generosity, selfless dedication, passion, and "genuiness" that you showed in your life! You touched and were loved by many! One day we will meet again, until then, you will be with all of us with that wit, grin and genuine friendly encouragement! See you on the other side of the mountain! Chris
