Life has forever changed with Dad being gone. He took a piece of my heart with him when he left us. I never realized the pain and heartache that would come with the loss of my dad. I can remember as a young girl being with dad as his spotter when he shot archery on his league at The Sportsman Club. I remember the joy in my dads life when all of my younger sisters were born, even though he wanted a boy to call son. I remember the happiness and pride he had for each one of us when we graduated from high school and some college. Dad was there to walk his girls down the isle on their wedding day, and sharde that oh so special Dad & Daughter dance. You could feel the overflowing Love that dad had when he held each and every one of his grandchildren when they were born. He was a very gifted and talented man in drawing, painting, and carving. Dad touched many lives in his retirement years and people adored him. He also found a love of dancing at the senior centers, and that is how he left us. He danced his way right into Heaven to meet our Heavenly Father. We all miss him more than we could ever express. I look forward to that precious day that we are together again. I Love You Daddy!!!

Sandy, I saw John at the store & he told me that we had lost Dave. What a precious, kind, gentle man he was. He was a valuable asset wherever he was to anyone he met. I always enjoyed talking with him at the senior center. His grin will always be missed. May God give comfort to you and your girls & their families. Sarah

Dave was a talented woodcarver and a gifted teacher who enriched many lives. His kindness, patience, and encouragement were limitless. When we would show him what we had carved he would look carefully and then always had a way to "fix it ". His legacy will live on in the carvings of all of his students. Whenever I'm carving and think to myself "you need to take off more wood", or when I'm painting and think "you need to add a couple more thin washes " I hear Dave's voice. I will greatly miss my good friend and mentor and I thank God that our paths crossed in this life.
