Herb: You will be missed. You and Judy were great friends, as is your wonderful son Russ. It was very nice to share time with you and hear your stories over dinner throughout the years. I learned a lot about history and you enriched my life about things I would never have known. It was fun to hear your stories about GM and our shared interest in cars. Thanks for agreeing to be a surrogate "dad" after I lost mine so long ago. You two were so much alike. Your advice was always warm and helpful. Have a safe journey home. Hugs...Jeff

Herb was a good friend from our USC days, and later we met and became friends with Judy. We especially enjoyed visiting them at their home in Palm Springs. They both will be missed, but we have our memories of those times we were together.

Keith, I knew your dad for almost 40 years. Every time one of us changed offices at Fisher Body, the other one seemed to follow. Klochack, Herbie and Sue always a team. The first time your dad invited me to Ortonville to visit him and your mom, I was in my early 20's. I remember meeting you. You were a teenager at the time. Back then I thought to myself, Why on Earth would anyone live out in the sticks like this? I will never live this far from civilization. So where did I end up several years later when GM moved my job to Flint? Ortonville, of course and I never left. But that enabled me to go to Cook's Farm Dairy or out to dinner with your parents a few times a year so we could catch up on each other's lives. I loved your dad's loud laugh and his crazy sense of humor. I keep the silver dollar that he gave me for good luck in my wallet. Every time I hold it in my hand, I'll think of him.
