DECKER, DR. NORMAN E., D.O.; of Waterford; on the Sunset of February 3, 2016; age 85. Loving husband of Leota, for 63 years; beloved father of Jeffrey Decker, Linda Decker and the late Sheri Decker-Smith; dear brother of Joyce (the late Don) Dancey and the late Gilbert (Nicole) Decker. Beloved grandfather of Alexandrea, the late Angelika Tolliver and Bryan Tolliver. Uncle of Bradley Decker and Chip Decker. Dr. Decker was a Life Member of the American Osteopathic Association where he served twenty-two years as a Delegate. He was a Life Member of the Michigan Osteopathic Association, Past President of the Oakland County Osteopathic Association, a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. Decker continued to practice medicine at Georgia Regional Hospital at Savannah, Georgia. Funeral Services for Dr. Decker will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the RIVERSIDE CHAPEL, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Officiating Dr. Thomas C. Hartley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dr. Decker was a joy to work with. He was the kindest physician I'd worked with in many years. He loved teaching the students, he always found time sit and explain anything asked of him. I will truly miss him opening the door for me always the gentleman. Rest in peace Dr. D.
