You did good in so many ways. You brought attention to areas such as homelessness and conservation of the natural environment.I think you conserved a bit of all of us. Jim Alford Arvin, Ca.

The same day Huell died we had a conversation about him with our daughter about how much we all enjoyed "California Gold" and his friendly, enthusiastic personality. How sad that someone who appeared so healthy and vigorous should have their life cut short. He did leave a wonderful legacy for us to enjoy. "Amazing!!!" Thanks Huell

My wife and I enjoyed Huell's programs for 12 years before we move out of state. One of the things we missed most was Huell and were pleased to see him again when we returned to Ca one year ago. We were deeply saddened by the news of his death; his warm, inviting personality made him seem like family.

Never met Huell but certainly felt like I knew him after watching his show over the years. What a refreshing program he hosted with class and folksy friendliness. It took a Tennesseeman to point out to Californians what they were missing in their own state. I will miss his new adventures but am sure he will live on in reruns for years to come.
