I just found out that Johnny passed away. I am so sorry Ruth. You were so kind to me when Terry was ill. Terry loved all the wonderful cards you sent. They always made him laugh. We were so touched when Johnny played at Terry's brother David's memorial service. He had never met David but volunteered to play because of his friendship with Terry. Johnny will be missed.

I loved going to rehearsals and just listening to the band as I waited for my turn to sing. Johnny was a gifted musician and band leader. He was also a generous mentor to me. I will always cherish the moments I was able to spend with Johnny and wonderful Ruth. Thank you so very much. Blessings and much love to you all, Andrea Densley

I just found out that my friend Johnny has passed. I am so regretful that I did not have the opportunity to see him before he left us surly on to heaven... playing his tunes up there.

I met Johnny and Ruth when I was the Resident Manager of the Westwater Hotel in Olympia. Both he and Ruth were very active in the Sons of Italy and we became good friends...that was in the lat 70's. WHen I became the General Manager of the Roosevelt Hotel in Seattle in 1980, Johnny and his band played 3 night a week for almost 2 years. THEY WERE A HIT!

Over the years I would talk with Johnny and it was always as if we had just talked the day before...He and Ruth were such a great couple together!

I will miss Johnny...but most of all I will remember the great time we had laughing and just having a great time.

Ruth, I will keep you and the kids in my prayers. Will call soon.

My heart goes out to Ruth, Dana, Tracy, Jeff, and Steve. Johnny was a great warm guy and a huge influence. He taught me a great deal. He put me to work in his band when I was a young man, very broke, living in my friends basement. I often rode in his car to and from gigs, listening to stories. He took me home to the family christmas one year. I have always been grateful to the whole Lewis family for that memory.. Johnny left the world a much better place. Thank you Johnny.
