Alix will always remember when then 87 year old Grandpa climbed a tall tree to make a swing in front of his house in order to watch his 3 year old granddaughter enjoy life.
I remember when I was a very young boy about 4 yrs old and Cam was 14, we had been visiting at a neighbour's house that we had walked about 2 miles to get to. When it was time to go home I was too tired to walk so Cam put me in a gunny sack and carried me all the way home. I had fallen asleep in the sack so Cam woke me up when I got home, and then he proceeded to walk the additional 3 1/2 miles to his place. Camille was a very good person, and will be greatly missed.
Cam was a very dear "old" friend of ours. My husband Joe Carrier accompanied him from Sask in 1938 . He married Jean, my room-mate in nurses training in Victoria. We shared many happy times with them and their children ( when they were very young)I will miss knowing he is still here with his great sense of humour- - my love& prayers goes to all his family- - who he was " very proud of". i have sent a donation to Hospice House in his memory.- - Ruby
