Elizabeth and I were very sad to learn of Bill's passing. All our thoughts and sympathies go to Maureen and family. We have many wonderful memories from visiting Vancouver and will remember the very generous hospitality shown to us by Bill. He was a true gentleman.
Having the opportunity to host both Bill and Maureen in Melbourne was a memorable occasion. His warm personality and generosity will remain with us as endearing memories of Bill.
Through hard work, Bill built up a Music business which supplied generations of students with instruments and music. His reputation was very widespread and deservedly so. He will be long remembered as a wonderful, special and generous man.
Our thoughts are with Maureen and Family.

Maureen, Jeff & Julie. My deepest condolences on Bill's passing. Bill gave all of us who had the priviledge of knowing him so much joy. His contagious smile, energy, generosity and zest for living life to the fullest will be his lasting legacy. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
My thoughts and deepest regards go to the Stonier family with the passing of Bill. I was fortunate to see Bill and his wife when they visited Perth Western Australia a few years ago. WE all spend a day sightseeing and having many conversations over coffee and lunch. I enjoyed his wisdom and his many stories as well as his wide knowledge of the music business and the Canadian music scene. His great company has kept me stocked with music for a long time!
I and everyone else owe Bill much in the music education genre and his presence will be missed.
Best wishes Wayne

Sincere sympathy to you Maureen and the family on Bills passing. Great memories from Kits and the business we did over the years at Triad. He was "a larger than life guy". My kids all had a shot at one of his flutes.
I enjoyed knowing Bill and am honored to have been able to capture his story as part of the NAMM Oral History library. He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are extended to his loving family.

Dear Mureen and Jeff and JuIie, I remember getting a flute and trying to play it! It was a flute my Dad purchased from Bill. I still can play "color your world on guitar, although not real well! I recently purchased the music sheet at the music store! Bill and Maureen played a huge roll in my fathers life, I'm glad they gave themselves the opportunity to be life long friends and memories of food, culture and wine. A toast to a fine man who gave many people positive outlooks on life, To Bill, May you color your world where ever you are in the universe! Thank you for coloring our world!
Wow, where do I begin. Sad news on his passing and condolences to Maureen,Julie and Jeff and extended family. I have so many memories of Bill from early in my life to recent. All those music sales camps and making hundreds of sanwiches, sorting sheets of music to seeing the Stonier Family on our annual trips to BC and growing up with the family and hanging out with Jeff. (I still have a trumpet somewhere my dad bought from Bill, however I haven't touched in 30 years)
I do remeber so of Bills euphemisms like "Chicken Tuesday" and eating out a Chinese place he referred to a "Cheap and dirty" a term I still use today to refer to some of my favorite cheap and dirties. MAN Too many memories miss you Bill
Thinking of you with love in your sorrow.
