Goodbye Carol.

Having been out of the country, I was deeply saddened to find out just today about Carol's passing. Carol was a wonderful soul and inspirational at work. I already think of her every time I look at a letter opener that she had acquired as a team birthday gift to me many years ago from our CSA days together in Ottawa: that lovely memento will be even more special to me now. My deepest condolences go out to her family and friends.

I had the honour of working with Carol in the GTA Region in 2000 and am certain thatshe touched so many with that special connection that leaves one forever changed for the better. Our prayers are with Carol's family and friends. God bless each of you.

Carol, I remember many great conversations walking home from Glen Ogilvie Public School in Blackburn, and later riding home on the yellow school bus from GHS... So grateful we had a chance to reconnect out here in Vancouver on this, your final "walk home." I hope you are now at peace. Heartfelt condolences to your family.

I so enjoyed working with you during the 2010 Games and respected your determination, courage and knowledge. You were so bright and optimistic and hopeful. I have been deeply touched by your illness, as you may or may not know, and I have thought of you often. I wish you the peace you so deserve as you move to the next "life' and the same to your family as they deal with your loss.
