I am just so sad and can't make sense of this. I first met"Nene" when I was looking for daycare for my then toddler son. I went to a few places, and as soon as I stepped into her cute litle house on Amelia, it just fely right. Jeannine cared for my son for 3 years, and those were the best years of his life. Jeannine, wherever you are, you will be missed, hugs and kisses.

Neene,

There are so many things I wish I could have told you.....

...what an amazing friend you were and how fortunate I had you in my life and my boys
.....thank you for sharing our Karate journey - a couple of 'Momma's" giggling our way through six years of katas, sparring and self defence. Promotions, which you always had the colour co-ordinated toe nail polish match the colour of belt we were going for. The stubbed toes, black eyes, hours of practice in my hair salon which, we together as "Bookends," earned our black belts. I am so blessed and proud to have shared this with you, I could not have done it without you!
.....your positive attitude, laughter, sugar cookies, patience and acceptance of life and all the craziness it brought will be with me forever.

I love you and wish you happiness and peace. Until we meet again....

This was truly a devastating week here in Sidney as many of our local families found out the sad news about our dear friend Jeannine. One would have had to pick up their child from her doorstep at one time or other over the years to know what I mean. There was no other daycare provider, mother and friend that people admired more in this small town. Whether we saw her 3 years ago, or 3 months ago, she will be sadly missed. We met in 1998 while our sons attended school together, and my daughter was just a toddler, but she would welcome her into the daycare situation just for a little female company...as most of her charges were boys! She was loved by those kids and by their parents...we will always remember her smile, her love and compassion, her willingness to never give up, and of course her her amazing baked treats! She loved, loved every holiday! fondly remembered by the Hautaluoma's...Brenda,John,Arek and April xo

I am so very sorry to hear of Jeannine's passing. I knew Jeannine as a truly genuine, gentle and caring soul. Her patience, compassion and intuitive understanding of children was apparent to all who knew her. She didn't just provide care for the children in her daycare, she loved them.

I first met Jeannine when she was a proud new mom and I will never forget the loving way she held Davis, and the way her eyes would light up when she spoke about Davis through the years, whenever we crossed paths and caught up with one another. She could not have loved Davis more.

There is no way to make sense of the loss of such a young and loving person from our world. My thoughts are with Jeannine's family. May you find healing and peace with time. May the memories you have of Jeannine give you some solace, knowing that she will always have a space in your heart and in this small way, will always be with you.

You looked after my son for 3 years, and those were very special times for him. I do not know what happened, but you will be missed!

As sounds of your laughter drift through our thoughts we take comfort knowing that in time our pain will be replaced with sweet memories. Till we meet again, rest easy.

It is with great shock that I write this note. Jeannine was the most loving and caring person. She gave her heart and soul to the children in her daycare. Both of my children spent time with Jeanine and will never forget her love and support. I think of her often when I go by Sidney School, remembering her daily trips to the school with the crew of the day. My deepest condolences to Jeannine's family. Rest in peace sweet Jeannine.

Reading this today was one of the saddest moments among many parents and children in Sidney. Jeannine touched so many lives, and most of it was through the loving care she gave so many of my friends children in their younger years. Her son and mine became friends, as we did, and I was a stay at home mom, so would bring my daughter by to play with the kids and from time to time Jeannine would ask me to leave her, just to have a little more female company, as her charges were almost always boys! As others have said, her smile lit the room, she LOVED a good joke, and her baking talents crushed many a-women's ego's! She doted on her son as well as her niece and nephew I remember whenever they came to visit...and she just loved her parents to bits Brenda,John, Arek and April Hautaluoma
