Today something reminded me of my buddy Alan Moats. Just something came to mind and on an off chance I googled him. I had thought of Alan on and off for the last 40 years about the laughs and good times we had on Guam I remember he bought an old '57 Ford Fairlane and we drove that thing all over Guam. We drove as far as we could, parked the thing and walked across what appeared to be a small desert on the way to a deep lagoon at the bottom of what seemed like a mountain. Green, lush tropical forest surrounded the lagoon where the four of us dove in and swam around for a couple of hours. There were some Guamanians there as well on the other side of the lagoon and they had wisely brought their lunch. They had some canned fruit but had forgotten a can opener. I swear one of them opened his mouth and bit into that can to get to the fruit. We couldn't believe it, but I swear it's true. I guess you never forget things like an adventure like that, and you never forget good friends either. I wish I had googled Alan a long time ago, but then I suppose he was, like me, just living life, making a living and taking care of our loved ones. He wasn't just a good friend, but a great friend. My memories of him will live on forever even though he is no longer with us. If his children are anything like Alan, and I'll bet they are, they are a great family.

Uncle Alan has been reunited with Aunt Judy and the rest of his family that has gone before him. He and Pap are for sure sitting together and catching up. My thoughts go out to Andy, Aaron and their families. Your dad was an great man who touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be missed dearly...

My deepest sympathies to my Pennsylvania family, especially Alan's sons, their families and Larry. You are in my thoughts during this time.
