Charlie was such a true gentleman. I remember his always opening the car door for Arlene with such thoughtfulness. We were welcomed into his home so many times with welcoming arms and listening ears. He would turn his head slightly, raise his hand to his chin and listen intently to whatever you had to say. His dry sense of humor would come out of nowhere. His love of service was an example to is all. We will miss you dearly, Charlie. Heaven is rejoicing at your arrival!
Love,
Donna Marcho

Dear Arlene and Jay,
My wife Kathy and I are both new to the Souderton area and Franconia Mennonite Congregation where Charlie was a member for the last nine years. Though we don't know you, we as new pastor and wife at Franconia, extend our prayers and love for you in this moment. Here is a Bible verse that expresses our sentiments: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Charlie was a great man. I am sorry to hear of his passing. While I spent 46 days in the hospital in 1981, he came to see me every single day. Sometimes he would walk over from his house to Binghamton General. Always a smile on his face and full of encouragement.
