NUNZIO 'TONY' BELLISARIO Nunzio "Tony" Bellisario, age 81, died Wednesday May 28th at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital after complications from organ failure. He spent the last 53 years as a proud resident of Lansdale, PA. Mr. Bellisario is survived by his son Mustafa, as well as a widespread network of close family and friends, including the Caruso, Wissert, Fusca & DiCicco families. Nunzio was a veteran of World War II, where he was honorably discharged after fulfilling his term of service including the battle for Iwo Jima. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him and as friends would attest, he was notorious for his attention to detail and well organized affairs. Born in the Bronx on March 6th 1933, he was the eldest son of Vincenzo and Anunziata Bellisario, and survived his only brother, Angelo. His post-military career was spent at the financial department in Chase Manhattan, New York. As a child, Nunzio acquired a love of food from his Italian father, which later evolved into his adventures across the globe and his experiences with culinary & cultural delight. His many travels however, led him to focus on his true passion: helping others. In his years post retirement, Nunzio was affiliated with endless charitable causes, including the Veterans Of Foreign Wars, St. Judes Children's Hospital, and UNICEF, to name a few. He was known for his generosity & unconditional support for children both stateside and abroad. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the interment of Tony's cremains on Wednesday, June 4th at 12 noon at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 51 Lansdale Ave., Lansdale, PA. 19446 followed by his Life Celebration at 1 PM , Wednesday at Bacco's Restaurant, 587 DeKalb Pike (at route 63), North Wales, PA. 19454. Arrangements by Simcox-McIlvaine Funeral Home, Lansdale.

The Bellisario family - Theresa Bellisario (sister-in-law), Vincent Bellisario (nephew and Godson), Judy Pushkin and Adele Bellisario (nieces) and their families - would like to extend our condolences and gratitude to all those who have been there for Nunzio over the years, especially in his time of need. Although distance, illness and family obligations kept us apart, we spoke often, especially after the illness and subsequent death of Angelo, Nunzio's only brother. We all admired Nunzio's free spirit and loved hearing about his adventures traveling the world. He was loved by all and will be truly missed.
