My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring you some comfort. Just knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

My deepest condolences for your loss. May you cherish the beauiful memories of David, and may God help you to heal. Ps. 147:3"He heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds."

I have many memories of Dave. There is one though that shines. It was the night that Lucas was born. We went to the hospital, Dave and I were in the room witnessing the miracle of birth. When Lucas was born, the doctor handed Dave the scissors to cut the cord. Dave handed me the scissors, and said "I got to cut Sara's, here, you cut Lucas' cord." Dave let be be an active party to that amazing memory, not just a witness. That's who Dave will always be to me. Over the years we have shared Thanksgivings, Christmas, and birthdays, so I have memories of that loud laugh, the goofy humor, and many play dates in the floor with the kids.I'm not sure if I'm writing the sort of thing that goes on a page like this. This memory is one of my most cherished memories of my entire life, and Dave stepped aside, so I could step up and have this memory. That is the kind of guy Dave was. Dave was a wonderful father. He loved his family. I am so sorry.I am praying for you all.
