ELDA De PIERO
August 15, 1930-February 13, 2013 Peacefully on February 13, 2013 in her 83rd year. Loving wife to the late Nino and cherished mother to Mario (Marion), Randy (Penny) and proud grandmother to Tamara, Ariana and Adam. Sadly missed by sisters Gina Scian (late Guido), Lidia Lazzer (Elio) and sister-in- law to Marissa Ceolin (late Franco) and Robert De Piero (late Yolanda). Loving aunt to Danny Ceolin, Lissa Bodley (Steve), Loretta Toohy (Kevin), Loris Lazzer (Annette) and Chris De Piero (Kelly). You crossed an ocean alone and on your own to be with the love of your life who waited for you to begin a journey of 53 years together. In that time you raised your own family but were also a warm and welcoming haven to so many others who walked through your front door. You had a disarming smile and kind word for all and always, always had a seat and plate ready and in hand. You cooked so many meals with tireless joy and treasured the feeling that a full house of laughter and company brought. You were gracious with your time and worked effortlessly to comfort those who were less fortunate. Years later you are still remembered for the peace and joy that you brought to so many and the grace and humility in which you served. You loved your family and your grandchildren who played in your treasured yard and gardens and you basked in the holidays, birthdays, weddings and gatherings that brought us all together. You touched us all Mom and now you can join hands with Dad again. Rest peacefully and be at ease, you are home at last. Special thanks to all the staff at Sherwood Court who cared for our mother with such warmth, dignity and grace. Special thanks to Sandra, Tatyana, Mary, Karen, Caroline and Marcia. You are living angels who do your work so well. The family will receive family and friends at Marshall Funeral Home, 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill (4th traffic light north of Major Mackenzie) on Sunday, February 17th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 18th, 2013 at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 10295 Yonge Street Richmond Hill. at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Mario and Randy, your mom was the nicest, kindest woman ever. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and would do anything to help someone in need. My heart and consoldences goes out to you all.
