My heartfelt sympathy to your family.
I did not know your Father very well but each time he came into Mcnies he brightened my day. He was so sweet, and charming, always smiling and always always had a twinkle in his eye.
You were blessed to have such a wonderful Dad and he will be with you always in spirit and by the wonderful memories you will always cherish.
Went to your favourite restaurant, McNie's, for Fish & Chips on Father's Day. Joey was sorry to hear you had passed, but she said you were with us in spirit.
Basil was a true gentleman, it was always a pleasure to sit down with him and enjoy his conversations. He always had a smile on his face and loved telling jokes. May he rest in peace.
My thoughts are with you Gordie, Dorothy, Jamie and all the rest of the family. My memories are of Bas' exuberance of life, his stories, jokes and laughter. I only wish I could have seen him more.

I had the honor of working with Basil at Lennox in the 70s. Spent many of times in the lunch room with him listening to his stories. What a great guy!!!! Yes. He did have a permanent twinkle in his eye. Sounds like he was blessed with a good life and a loving family! Well done Basil
