Paul and the kids, my heart skipped a beat when I heard the news. Sadness filled the air thinking of your loss. we were fortunate to have crossed paths and become friends that continued for many many years because your kind of friendship is cherished. Time has passed but some things just stick out so far that it's hard to ignore and our vacationing together is part of the more prominent memories. Spending a special moment in life at a critical age for families is forever remembered. it puts a smile on my face when I think of the joy you brought to those around you like us. Evan King and family.
Dear Paul and family,

It was such a shock to call to have a chat with Leslie today only to learn of her passing. Leslie & I became buddies as we both were volunteers at Wellspring and attened many functions together. Always positive and ready to encourage everyone in their struggles, Leslie will be missed by all who knew her and felt her love.
Sncerely, Carole Mitchell
Leslie, a beautiful light is needed somewhere else. Truly special and so strong. Always there when you need her.... Just picture her smile and feel your heart warm.
Leslie, a beautiful light is needed somewhere else. Truly special and so strong. Always there when you need her.... Just picture her smile and feel your heart warm.
I will start by saying that we will miss Leslie more than words can ever say. Our family lost a very special person who will never be forgotten. It will not be the same without Leslie but we will remember how fortunate we are to have had Leslie in our lives.
Leslie touched so many people and helped so many in her short life that she probably was not aware of all the good she had done. Leslie helped others for the right reasons even when she herself was in a battle for her life.
We are proud to Call Leslie our sister.
Leslie will no doubt be watching over us, especially Paul, Jonathan, Jordan and Jessica, yes and Tara as well.
Bye for now sister.
Dear Paul & Family,

We are truly heart broken to hear of Leslie's passing!! Leslie is such an amazing woman with such a huge heart. May her love live on with you and your family, may her beauty flourish through Jessica, and may her character shine through John and Jordan.

We are thinking of you constantly.

Dear Paul, Jonathon, Jordan and Jessica,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Leslie's passing. I remember Leslie's friendly smile and pleasant interaction with all of the families on Estes Crescent.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

When we read this prayer attached below,we immediatly thought of Leslie. Although we have only known leslie for the past 5 years it has felt like a lifetime. We are better people from knowing Leslie and her family.
To Paul,Jess,Jonathon and Jordon, you are in our thoughts.

Dear God:
Help me be a good sport in this game of life. I don't ask for an easy place in the lineup. Put me anywhere you need me, I only ask that I can give you 100 percent of everything I have. If all the hard drives seem to come my way, I thank you for the compliment. Help me remember that you never send a player more trouble than he or she can handle.
And, help me, Lord, to accept the bad breaks as part of the game. May I always play on the square, no matter what the others do. Help me study the Book so I'll know the rules.
Finally, God, if the natural turn of events goes against me and I'm benched for sickness or old age help me to accept that as part of the game, too. Keep me from whimpering that I was framed or that I got a raw deal. And when I finish, I ask for no laurels. All I want is to believe in my heart that I played as well as I could and that I didn't let you down.
Leslie you will be truly missed but never forgotten
As I look back on "my book of my life" and review the chapters I find Leslie's "footprint" scattered here and there among many of the chapters. Thirty years of footprints dotted here and there. My "storybook" reads so wonderful with her footprints in it. The chapters would not have been so exciting without her.

Thank you Leslie
Dear Paul, Jordan, Jonathon and Jessica:

A brilliant shining light has been taken from this eath far too soon. However, Leslie's kindness, courage and sense of humour will be remembered by all who knew her. Our hearts go out to all of you and your extended families during this time of sorrow. She will be sorely missed by all of us.
With deepest condolences

The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the Anastasi family is that they're always smiling no matter what. Since the day we met at hockey Jessica and Leslie were always smiling on the bench and the rest of the family was smiling from the stands. That's what I'll always remember about Leslie - her smile, her genuine kindness, and sense of humor.
I have fond memories from hockey - when the coaches would be making their pre or post game speeches, Leslie would subtly stand over by the hand dryer and turn it on while they were talking as an ongoing joke. Or when my dad and the other coaches would be telling off a ref and she'd get them to calm down and collect themselves. I can also thank Leslie and Jessica for introducing me to the delicious hazelnut latte from one of our Starbucks runs after practice with the other girls and my dad.
Leslie cared so much about the well-being of everyone around her on and off the ice. I am so glad I had the pleasure of becoming best friends with Jessica and getting to know the Anastasi family. Leslie, through her journey with cancer and simply through her life, gave her family and everyone who was privileged to know her such inspiration and strength. For that I am forever thankful. Leslie's beautiful spirit lives on through her amazing family, and through all of the people she touched so profoundly throughout her life.
Much love,
Dear Paul, Jessica, Jordan, Jonathan, Mr. & Mrs.Caines, Laurie, Jennifer & Doug:

Paul I was saddened to hear of Leslie's passing, but He had decided it was time for her to rest. You and the children had a wonderful person in your life and I will always remember her brilliant smile even through her adversities; irrespective as to who they were. The photographs are unable to capture that brilliance; one had to see it and to feel its impact.
My sincere condolences go out to you all she will sadly be missed, only time heals in these sad moments but you all seem surrounded by great people.
Dear Paul, Jonathan, Jordan and Jessica,

I am so sorry to hear about Leslie and your Mom, she was a very special lady!
We had not seen each other in many years but crossed paths through the years. Leslie always had a smile on her face and a laugh.
Many hours spent at the baseball parks and she always could make you laugh to pass the time.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Paul, Jonathan, Jordan & Jessica,
My deepest sympathies at the passing of Leslie. I knew her only for a short time and she was a truly kind and compassionate person who was always concerned for others. May you find comfort in the community of family and friends who surround you. May you also find comfort in the arms of God.

My prayers and condolences to the Anastasi family.

Jessica, you are a strong and loving person, Leslie will always be overlooking you and your family through the journey's of your lives.

With love,
Dear Anastasi family,
There is a light so bright that shines. It is this light of Jesus Christ that was within Leslie. There is a radiance, brilliance and beauty that comes from God that few carry, but Leslie magnified this to its full potential! In her, I've seen an everlasting and unconditional love. In her, I've witnessed a joyfulness and generosity that seemingly had no limits. In her, I've found a trusted and caring friend. All of these characteristics I also see within your family. Leslie's life, the goodness of her character and the warmth of her personality will be in my heart forever!
To the Anastasi family, it is so unfortunate to see this happen to someone who is so special. I respect Leslie so much, even with all the hardships that she was dealing with she still managed to lend a helping hand to whomever was in need of it. Leslie was a strong, dedicated, and caring women who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. I will miss her very much ...
Jessica and Family - from our whole family to yours, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Though we didn't know your mom, we do know you and know too that she must have been an incredible woman to have raised such an incredible daughter. Much love, The Lytle family
Dear Paul, Jonathon, Jordon, Jessica, Mr. & Mrs. Caines, Doug, Laurie, Jennifer and In-laws, Nieces/Nephews:

Words cannot adequately express how saddened we are. Our heartfelt condolences to each of you. Life is unfair. Leslie was an exemplary daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend.

"God looked around his garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon earth,
And saw her tired face.
He put His arms around her,
And lifted her to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew she was suffering,
He knew that she was in pain.
He knew that she would never,
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed her weary eyelids,
And whispered, "Peace be thine."
It broke our hearts to lose her,
But she didn't go alone,
For part of us went with her,
The day God called her home." Author Unknown.

Dear Paul, Jonathon, Jordan and Jessica....we are truly saddened with Leslie's one of the few remaining "original" neighbors in our street... aging and growing up our kids together....we will remember Leslie as a joyful mother out in the house by cool sundown, tending to her playful kids, my kids and the other kids in the neighborhood, always with cheerful smiles and laughter and good stories to share....she was the first one to say "hello" to us when we first came to the neighborhood......our prayers are with her and with all of you!
