It's St. Patricks Day, and I am thinking of the great parade you would be having with St Patrick himself! Miss you, love you both everyday.
Hi Mom and Dad 61 years ago today I arrived a little early. I am anxiously awaiting the birth of my first Granddaughter and I know you are watching over her and Lindsay. Today on my birthday we closed on a house for Robyn to someday call her own, I find much comfort in that.
I miss you everyday but especially on these days. Pray for us, love you,
Merry Christmas Mom and Dad, it is a bittersweet day, I am so glad you are together for this holiest of days, but miss you terribly! Where does a year ago! Mom this year is the storm of century in Toronto, ice, snow massive power outages, nothing like the beautiful day we said good bye to you. I will be forever grateful that I arrived home for a week with you. My first day you were lucid enough to know exactly who I was, greeting with me that impish expression of "well hello there" letting me know you knew it was me. The next seven days we were blessed enough never to never leave your side full of memories we shared while keeping you company. Have a blessed day and thank you Mom and Dad for the beautiful example of how to live life you showed all who were lucky enough to have crossed your life.
It is Dec. 21, 2013.

Dear Mom , Fr. Vito celebrated the mass of Resurrection for Stella today. He asked everyone to sing "When the Saints come Marching In" to bring her in. She would have been 105 her next Birthday, in July. She is buried at the corner of Finch and Warden, at St. Paul's. Of coarse, I know you already know all this. Pray for us, Mariann
A great Lady, a real gem of a person, a smiling, gentle, happy camper who brought all of that to those who had the joy of meeting her....along with her dear dear husband. What extraordinary hospitality of heart and home this magnanimous couple gave to Trudi and Madonna House. Thanks to the "Dunsmere's" as Trudi would say, Madonna House Toronto began and exists. Far and wide is their gifts to the Church and the community. And Mariann is following in their footsteps. We bless you and thank you. Mary Kay and Jim Hochhausler
Happy Mothers Day, our beautiful Mom! It is a bittersweet day, our first without you. I do find comfort in knowing you are at peace and with Dad. Thank you for your beautiful example of how to live!
Miss you and love you.
Dear Family, I've just finished reading Dr. Eben Alexander's book,"Proof of Heaven, a neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife" I applaud his courage as he is going to face a lot of 'dismissals' over what he has written. But I know what I experience from being everyday with mom as she aged, to now, when she has left this earthly form, but is so close to me, that when I start to mourn, she says to me so clearly, "Oh Ann stop that, I'm so happy, get living"
Thank you Dr Alexander, a great comfort and strengthening of what I intuitively know. Pray for us mom and dad and all our loved ones who watch over us, Mariann
Hi Mom, here on my 60 year 1 month birthday we have elected a new Pope, Pope Francis for Francis of Asissi. He is from Argentina. I miss you terribly but am glad you and Daddy are together. So many special birthdays in this 2013 year, 25, 30, 35, and "60"!
Love to you and Dad thank you for being the most special loving parents!
Jan 20, 2013 Lauren, (Marilous daughter) and Dave Calloway give birth to a beautiful boy, Kieren Johnathan. It was in 1894, that Dad's mother, Marjorie was born. How life goes on.
We have been the most blessed family to have had a mom like you. We are all so grateful for you and dad. Thank you mom you have always made me feel safe and loved. I will see you again, rest now. Patti
Mother Dunsmore, I have such fond memories of you at 2350 Bridletowne Circle. A stranger at first, but quickly became such a close and warm friend. I enjoyed seeing and having some great conversations with you and Mariann. You were missed very much when you moved and now you will remain in my thoughts and in my heart. To a wonderful woman who always brought a smile to my face.
To the friends and family,
As you grieve, know that we are honouring and celebrating the memory of Betty.
Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss…our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Kindest regards from the staff and volunteers at Habitat for Humanity Toronto
My dear mother, today is the day of your burial and what a glorious celebration of your life it was. At 7am Fr. Vito phoned Lou and I and announced "I'm coming" Good, I said.
Then on a day that had winter shades, the sun broke through and we all traveled safely to Epiphany of Our Lord Church. So warmly welcoming, so beautifully decorated with the Christmas history that mom loved so much.
Neighbors, Cursistas, Deacons, Priests came to remember mom's life of blessings. Nothing was strained or hurried, Fr. Vito set the tone and invited all mom's girls to drape her coffin in the sign of Baptism as he said, mom brought us to the Church dressed in white, now we bring her, clothed in a mantle of white, of welcome to the Heavenly banquet. Deacon, father, friend Dan Murphy proclaimed the gospel and spoke of mom' hidden, small acts that changed lives and blessed them. My sister Jo-Anne reminded me that she and moms grandchild, Lauren had also proclaimed the readings at Dad's funeral 12 years ago. We have 7, 7 mom, handsome grandchildren bear you in and bear you out, I thought to myself, moms loving this. What a day full of grace, the traffic to the cemetary was light and we brought you to daddy, to embrace and as Jo-Anne said so beautifully, "Rest, our dear mother"
There was a gathering at the Church afterwards to make all your friends feel welcome and fed. Thank you dear mother, thank you. Love Mariann

I know God must have a special place in Heaven for my Grandma to be with him and Gramps, whom she loves and missed so much. I can see her beautiful, smiling face as she embraces Gramps for the first time in so long. The honor and joy she must be feeling to finally meet Our Lord and Savior is something I can only imagine. Grandma you will always be in my heart and your spirit lives on forever in our memories.
Beautiful, wonderful Betty! How we'll miss you, how grateful I am, we all are, to have known your goodness, humour and warm hospitality. Your memory will live in our hearts for ever.
