I was a friend of Francis back in his Uxbridge day's, he was a very good friend to me, helping me through some very hard times. We spent a lot of time together and he had also introduced me to some of his family. I do remember his mother Karen as he invited me to Christmas dinner at her house i believe it was in 1997.That's what kind of friend he was, he did not want me to spend my Christmas alone. Francis and i went on a lot of adventures together and i followed him on one of his business trips to South Carolina. I recently reached out to Francis on Facebook not knowing that he had passed away from cancer. I am deeply saddened by his passing for i have missed him greatly in my life. I had hopes that we could be friends again. I admired Francis for his quick wit and he was a man with many great thoughts and ideas. My sympathies go out to his mother and his brothers and sisters as well as there children. My heart is breaking right now i wish i had one more day to spend with him so i could tell him how much i love him. his friend forever, Shayna P. Slaven

I didn't know Francis' real name, or what he looked like, where he lived or what he did for a living until now. I knew him on Wikipedia through his words and deeds, simply as "Franamax" - a truly great guy, funny and an intelligent, knowledgeable contributor. His writings live on. He's going to be missed.

To Francis's family & friends.
I only knew Francis online on Wikipedia as "Franamax". In the limited capacity I knew him, he always provided timely advice, assistance, and was good to those around him.
The world is lesser without him and he will be sorely missed. You have my utmost condolences.
