jeanette was my boss at the municipality of metropolitan toronto. she was tough, she was demanding, she could be sarcastic -- but she was never, ever mean, and she was always fair. she gave me the chance to prove myself there where others would not. i loved her for her sense of humor and intelligence. i'm very grateful to have had a visit with her a few years ago when i came to toronto to see my family. god bless her and god bless you carol.

I feel privileged to have known Genie, even though we never met. I'll miss reading her posts on Rootschat and Facebook. She was a genuine, lovely lady. Sleep safe, Genie.

I am so sorry to hear that Jeanette has passed. She & my mum, Stella, worked together for many years. What a sweet friend she was.
I had such good intentions to come by for a visit & have a good chat about family searches. Yet another reminder not to put things off. Fly high in the clouds Jeanette!

So sorry to hear of your passing dear Jeanette. It was sad that we could not see you again after you left the U.K. But over the years we had kept in touch by phone, letter, email and facebook.
