Johnny The Tiger..Your humour and energy relentless! Never was there a time that a smile didn't immediately appear on my face when I saw you. The times we were together from dancing together at Bob and Kathys wedding to dancing on St Kitts ave in Montreal. Truly unforgettable and wonderful! You are truly missed! Love you Johnny!

So many years after his passing, I was just looking for him online, wondering what became of the crazy wonderful and endearing neighbour we had years ago at 699 St-Maurice in Montreal. My belated condolences to the family.

Johnny!!! My condolences to your family. They will miss you so much as your energy was matchless. You were an arbiter of great taste and as I learn of this news I am reminded of the many many times, meals, laughs and songs we shared. Thank-you for all your generosity and endless support. I am shocked to learn of your passing. I knew it had been too long since I'd heard from you. I just figured you'd finally settled down and got married. Just now I was looking at a card from your gallery and I Googled your name to see if you were still open.
I am blessed with the many gifts you gave me over the years. Sage advice and friendship being the most important. You always had that work ethic that reminded me of my family. You with your Italian/Irish mix and I with the Greek/Scottish background. I thought we'd live forever. ...I will hold my Turkish pillow tight tonight and pray you are safe in God's hands.
My memories of you are nothing but the greatest. May you rest in peace.

Well, I was looking for Johnny on facebook and I can not believe what i´ve seen here. I have great pictures of Johnny dancing in Brazil and in Cuba and photos of him singing in High Park. Please, Johnny, write me back saying this was just a joke. A free spirit as you are, i am sure you are alive somewhere. With love, Mirian (Belo Horizonte - Brasil)

My deepest condolences on your families loss, John was an amazing artist and warm spirit. I will always remember the smile and warm way that he greeted you. He always made you feel welcome, even if it wasn't even his home.:)

Ernesto - you are another true genius and your art was certainly among my favorites in his gallery. And your nudes.... ooooh la la. Do you often see P Lominchar?

My deepest condolences. I just learned of Jonnhy's passing. He was a free willed loving man. I remember when we would laugh as he cut my hair or showed me his turkish carpets. Miss you all

PS Great idea having this forum to remember a great man!

I´m one of the Cuban Artist that worked with he, and I´m proud to had been his friend. Always, when I wrote him, the first words were "... from your little brother." Because He was for me as a brother.
When his sister wrote me and tell me that sad news I couldn´t belived; I cried a lot and my wife too.
Rest in peace Big brother.
I miss you
Your little brother
