Dear Dr. White: I think of you often and dearly miss having dinner with you every Monday Night at Shepherd Village. But most importantly, you saved my soul and for that alone I will always be extremely grateful.

Dr. White held an evangelistic crusade in Ukiah Ca where I was pastoring. I was privileged to work with him as the Operation Andrew Director. He was a precious brother. One of the highlights of my ministry.

May the good Lord give the White family an extra measure of His peace and comfort at this time.
John Wesley White was uniquely gifted to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. During his time on earth God used him in a very effective and particular way to reach the lost and encourage the found. My fondest memory of him was during the times while I served on the welcome team at Peoples Church, when he arrived with the absolute warmest of smiles and greetings and the unmistakable glow of the Holy Spirit, upon his face.

Reverand Dr. John Wesley White was such an absolute blessing to me , listening to him preach on television years ago. I remember his gentle way of talking and sharing Jesus . I am sorry to hear this sad news but at the same time, I know how much he is enjoying seeing Jesus and Dr. Elmer McVety and everyone else in Heaven. God bless his dear family and loved ones during this time of losing him , but we are assured that nothing not life nor death can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. We who are in Jesus are one body, one spirit . We will all be together soon and live forever in happiness and love beyond imagination. Stephanie Kinney

As we pastor our church here in Pangman, Saskatchewan, we are deeply aware of the roots of Dr John Wesley White who grew up here, on a local farm, played ball and hockey and got into mischief. His brother, Lewis, is still a wonderful part of our congregation. However, our memories go back further, to the founding of Richmond College in Toronto, and to when, as host pastor for the national conference of the Apostolic Church of Pentecost in June, 1978. Dr White was the keynote speaker. On the opening night, I had briefed all the evening's dignities who were to speak that this first evening would have to seem a little cut and dried to include each one. We then proceeded into a lively worship time and the various greetings. When Dr. White rose to speak, he began by saying, "The pastor said tonight would be rather 'cut and dried'. well, if this is 'cut and dried', I can hardly wait until tomorrow!" Needless to say, the messages that followed were direct and powerful, punctuated by stories that he was the master of, having provided so much of Dr. Billy Graham's illustration material.
When I stood with him and Dr Charles McVety, at Canada Christian College Graduation, to receive an honorary doctoral degree, in 2007, although he had experienced a great physical setback, his rich warm smile still warmed and reassured us. Thank God for this great minister of the glorious Gospel, and a dear friend.

My first contact with Dr. White was when he was my favourite guest preacher at People's Church as I marvelled at his vocabulary and his way of weaving a story with an incredible memory of the names of individuals and details of places and circumstances. Later I got to know him personally when playing hockey with his sons Bill, Wes, Paul and Randy. Finally it was a pleasure to visit Dr. John and Kathleen in their home when helping to videotape his television program. It was a privilege for our family to help edit his crusade sermons for his TV program as it allowed us to hear him preaching so many sermons in so many places. Dr. John once congratulated my brother Steve for the way that he edited his sermons "homiletically". Of course, we had to look the word up in the dictionary but we knew it was high praise coming from him. Our sincere condolences to Paul and Randy and their families.

Through working with John on his last book, it was my pleasure to meet with him on several occasions and I also had the pleasure of meeting his son Randy and daughter-in-law Lorraine, we all had many laughs together which I treasure. I know John was excited to go to Glory, but I also pray for all of those that are left behind, that they may be comforted greatly by the Holy Spirit, not just today but in the months to come as they adjust to this space previously filled by John, but are also kept busy with joy and happiness of his memories and larger than life personality. My condolences to Randy and Lorraine and their family.

We were so sorry to hear of John's passing but at the same time happy to know that his health struggles here on earth have ended. He remained cheerful even under the most trying circumstances. We so enjoyed receiving his letters and they will be missed. Our condolences to the family especially to Lorraine and Linda who were always so mindful of his needs.

Dr. White was an inspiration to me and so many residents and staff of Shepherd Village. His smile more than compensated for his lack of words.
Who knows what heaven will reveal even from the impact of his twilight years before the dawn of the great and glorious day.

Dr. White was a wonderful person, the man responsible for turning me around spiritually. I'd been visiting him regularly at Shepherd Village since his Son and my dear friend Bill passed away a few years ago. I will miss those visits very much. Thank you for your friendship and spiritual guidance Dr. White.
