As Mark's oldest cousin who left Canada when he was just a kid I had little opportunity to get to know Mark as an adult. The last time I spoke with him at length was in 2008 at our aunt's funeral. He was so enthusiast to visit us in LA and explore Hollywood, I guess because of his interest in the movies. I was looking forward to showing him the sites and getting to know him more. As kids I do remember our families getting together often for picnics. I also spent a good deal of time at their house during my nursing school days since my family had moved to Montreal. Mark's early death has been a terrible shock to us all but life has certainly impacted us for the better and our memories of him will help to ease the lose. To Nickie, Paula, Suzanne and John we send our heart felt sympathy and love.

Mark was a great guy. We had many walks and talks over the years. He said this and his bike trips relieved the work tensions he had. It hard to believe he won't be out there any more!!!!

I have enjoyed many of Mark's City Walks with the TBN. We all appreciated the effort he put into finding the ideal route, giving us historical information, and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. My condolences to his family; he will be greatly missed.

I am sad to hear about Mark's passing at such a young age. I am one of many people who enjoyed the TBN City Walks organized by Mark. I believe that his spirit will live on in the park and forest trails that he enjoyed so much, and was kind enough to teach us to appreciate.

Mark was a great guy - always smiling and very enthusiastic. He led many TBN walks in the fall, and introduced the nooks of Toronto to many people. I am sorry to read about his passing. My sympathies to his family.

I participated in a few city walks led by Mark, and am in total agreement with everyone that he was a very kind and considerate individual - and very detailed in his walks' outings. My condolences and deepest sympathy to his family.
