It was my pleasure to know Mark through our work at Service Canada. He was an intelligent interesting person who was knowledgable in a variety of areas and loved to discuss them with anyone. He was also a kind, caring, compassinate soul. The world is a poorer place for his passing.

My condolances to all his family. He will be missed.

I knew Mark from the TBN as we were often on the same Alan Gordon LW rides. Mark was always approachable, chatty, and unassuming. Over the years, no matter how long between TBN events where I would run into him, he was the same. I really liked that about him. My condolences to the family.

It's so hard to believe that Mark passed away. I always enjoyed the city walks he led, his subtle sense of humour, stories and anecdotes he shared with us. I am grateful for all the time and energy he put into volunteering for the TBN, leading the rides and city walks. He will be missed.

I feel sad and surprised that he will no longer lead the walks at TBN.... But I am sure his friendly smile and sense of humour will walk with us. My condolences to the family.

Sad to hear of Mark's passing. I knew him as the tireless volunteer that helped lead and eventually ran TBN's citywalk program. He will be sorely missed

I too knew Mark  from the Toronto Bicycling Network.  We were roommates for a couple of Cyclon events. Always helpful, always friendly, we'd chat during City Hikes, Friday night skates or over a beer afterward. He spoke of his family from time to time and how happy he was to move back east to Riverdale. Simply put, Mark was a very decent guy.

It's with good memories and sadness learning of Mark's passing. I had the pleasure of assisting Mark and other tour leaders with the TBN Leisure Wheeler's rides. Rest in Peace...

I knew Mark from the City walks program at TBN and we spoke and walked together many times. Great guy - you'll be missed.

I worked with Mark many years ago and we became friends immediatley. Though life took us in different directions we would still meet at our favorite pubs in Toronto for a couple of jars. Our credo at the end of the evening was "fight the good fight brother" ; Mark certainly fought the good fight with honesty and integrity.
I have history books provided to me from Mark with written sumaries by Mark on the inner sleave. His words where clear but more importantly warm and kind. Those books mean more to me know then ever. I will miss you dearly.
My condolences to Mark's family.
