I was also a patient of Dr. Freeman for approximately 9 years as he kept both me and my heart going with his bag of tricks. He always had time for my questions and gave frank and informative answers. I just found out about his passing and missed the funeral as we were out of town. It is fitting that he was doing something that he loved in the outdoors as I also am of the same breed and know Algonquin Park well.
As one of the writers has noted he was a mensch and will be missed.
My condolences to his family and colleagues.

We have known Roger and Mary Jo since attending First Baptist in the 80's and were gladdened to hear than Michael Freeman was also a believer. Thank God we have the hope of a wonderful reunion someday (HOPEFULLY!) soon.

I am so shocked and saddened by the news. I was supposed to see him last month but changed my appointment to late September. I have seeing Dr. Freeman since 1993. He helped me with my health so much. He was so easy to talk to and never rushed me. Just loved the way he talked to me about my health and other general things and few jokes! I am going to miss him so much and I will remember him rest of my life. Thank you. Rest in peace Dr. Freeman.

Dear Sharon and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Michael. I am at the ASNC meeting and this is where I always met with him each year and we would sit and talk about work and sports but mostly about our families. Peggy and I have fond memories of the times our families spent together over the years. He loved you all very much and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. You were all the most important thing in his life. I considered Michael a very good friend of mine and he will be missed by many colleagues and friends. Peggy and I are so very sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you and your family during this most difficult time for you all. The world has lost one of the great ones.

Dear Sharon and Family,
Although saddened by the news when I heard it, and incredulous that he would leave us so soon I've found solace in remembering all the good that he was and that he brought to all of us. I chose to celebrate his existence, appreciate the times we had together and all I learned from him, both in our field but more importantly in how to be a human being. My wishes are that you and your family find a path to acceptance and ultimate celebration of the man he was.

Dr Freeman was a wonderful friend to physician colleagues in Ethiopia. He gave several years more of life to one older patient before he died. He provided wonderful care and consultation to a younger patient who now has a whole new lease of life. Dr Freeman gave his care free of charge and arranged for the tests to be free of charge as well. He is revered here in Addis Ababa as a brilliant generous and skilled physician. We send our sincere condolences to his family, and give thanks for his life.

Beautiful person, outstanding cardiologist. A patient for 12 years.
He made me feel like I was his only patient with the time and care he gave me in spite of my age. I will miss him so much and am so sorry for your loss. We know Michael is with Jesus, and happier than we can imagine. However, as God's children, it is human to morn the loss of someone we loved so much. May Our Dear Lord comfort you with his love at this time of your tremendous and unexpected loss. I shall pray for you.
